About SPC

Do you want to:
Take better photographs? Meet people who share your photography interests? Attend talks and workshops? Enter photographic competitions aimed at all ages? Have lots of fun in your new club? Not forgetting having outings to go to places of interest where you can take photographs? Share your pictures with your family, friends and the community as well as social network?

This could be a new venture for you.
Sandy Photography club is not just for the experts but for anybody who takes pictures with whatever kind of camera. Your images are what we are all about – wherever you enjoy taking and creating them or just looking at other people’s.

With a program of monthly (then fortnightly as a target weekly) meetings covering whole year, there are plenty of opportunities to talk and think about pictures.
We are planning competitions (both within the club and against other clubs in the area) which provide ideal chance to get feedback on your work from experts or just hear what they have to say about other people’s pictures.
We hope to have interesting talks and presentations, filled with inspiring images.
At other meetings we engage in practical activities, workshops, discussion of work between members and special guests.

We will start from scratch, therefore we need to engage people to write some articles, writing/editing article for our website, social networks etc – this will be your choice if you so wish. There is no age limit; we are an educational and social community project.

Ken Lynch LRPS – will act as coordinator of this project and we will form an active committee having a constitution with certain member elected to serve of the community if they wish.

Chairman – Carlos Santino is very experienced freelancer photographer working over 20 years in advertising with agencies, press, portraits and commercial companies etc. He is responsible to ensure our club is running correctly and the all members have a say how they wish the club to run.

If there’s something that you’d like to participate in, what we could to put in our program, come along and tell us about it. We’re keen to hear new ideas and get new members.

All the best to you 🙂

Ken & Carlos
