Dear Members of Sandy Photography Club and Guests,<\/p>\n

Did you know, the word “photography<\/b>” was created from the\u00a0Greek<\/b>\u00a0roots \u03c6\u03c9\u03c4\u03cc\u03c2 (ph\u014dtos), meaning “light”, and \u03b3\u03c1\u03b1\u03c6\u03ae (graph\u00e9) meaning “representation by means of lines” or “drawing” – putting these together\u00a0gives the meaning “drawing with light”?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

I would like to invite you to our next Workshop X<\/b> the subject being \u201cdrawing with light\u201d, which is literally the meaning of photography.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
We will meet on Saturday 9th December<\/b> outside Sandy Library<\/b> at 5.45pm.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Please bring with you: camera, tripod, wide angle lenses, remote shutter release, torches or any source of light and … a bottle of wine! (optional!)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

After the Workshop I am planning for us to go to a pub for a pre Christmas drink where we can talk more about this workshop.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
